Is it Sunday again?

Here in Israel, the week starts on Sunday, so our week has already started. I don't like Sundays very much. Maya usually throws a huge tantrum in the morning, crying with crocodile tears, because she doesn't want her father to go to work, after she had him for herself for two days. Well, I have to admit, my husband is a great father. Although he is 52, he plays with Maya when he is at home (when he doesn't cook, that is) and I can say he is the best playmate Maya have ever had.

As you can see from the pictures I've posted, they are just inseparable...

So, am I a happy mother and wife or what? And if I'll add that this week-end hubby also concoted the best lentil daal ever, what would you say? I'll have to dedicate one of my blog's posts to the delicious indian meals that my husband prepares in week-ends. He is a natural at cooking indian food, although we don't know from where does it come from...I promised myself that for his birthday I'll book him into an indian food cooking course...
On another note, I finished Lukyanenko's "The Day Watch"- good book, but I liked "The Night Watch" better, maybe because Anton Gorodetzky is the main character there, and I like Anton. I started reading "The Twilight Watch", well only a few pages really, so I cannot say anything about the book, yet, but I'm sure it will be as good as the first two from the series.
I saw the last Harry Potter movie and it left me so sad...God, I love Alan Rickman as Snape and Draco played his part very well.
OK, taking into consideration that today is Sunday and nothing interesting happens on a Sunday, I will finish here, I don't want to bore you to death...And I want to go and read my book in peace...
Night-night, whoever you are...

Hot, hot, hot

Yes, summer is here, as I said before. The cruel, scorching and humid Israeli summer is here. Today is was unusually hot, and because we got up pretty late (9.00) we didn't go to the park. We went to the supermarket instead, because I needed to buy some dog food for Dubi. Maya did some shopping for herself, too. She likes very much when we go to the supermarket and she can buy whatever she wants. Today she bought two books (that's my girl) and a small wind up toy train.
I hate cooking when it is hot. Not that I'm much of a cook, but I try hard. Yesterday we had for dinner cauliflower bake so today for lunch we had leftovers and Maya wanted some noodles, too. Today for dinner we'll have potatoes au gratin (I think that's the exact name). It is a recipe that I borrowed from my Grandma (May God rest her in peace) and we called it back at home "French potatoes" . Lately Maya helps me a lot in the kitchen and although this way I have to spend double the time cooking, it is worth, every second of it. She'll eat everything she cooks, so it is definitely worthy.
Today, while we were preparing the ingredients for the potatoes, Maya was singing to herself (in Romanian):
"If you need to pee
If you need to pee,
Do it in the potty,
do it in the potty"
She has such a sweet voice, my baby!
